1960 headlight switch

I recently installed a NOS Ford headlight switch in my 1960 T-Bird. All the lights work as they should except the dash lights. My shop manual says they work thru a circuit breaker in the switch. Everything is hooked up and as I said are working as expected. Has any other T-Bird owner checking this site had such a problem with a new headlight switch? Claude W.
