Fuel Pump Replacement

Post by mcm51 »

Recently I've been having a inter-mitten no-start condition, I did some fuel pressure tests a few months ago and was not quite happy with what I was seeing, on the low side across the board, so it looks like a $40. press regulator that I had replaced was not my problem but I could tell that my motor did like the replacement, so it's a keeper, so now I just changed out the fuel pump, my o.e.m. pump went 18 years, my second pump replacement was a Bosch and by my pressure readings, was showing signs of age at 11 years, my now 3rd pump is a Walbro 255lph, which should get me back to O.E.M. as far as that goes.....I've only drove about 75 miles and maybe a dozen start-ups, so far, so good, and like the pressure regulator that I had replaced, I can certainly tell the motor likes the combo of the two, only time will tell if inter-mitten no-start condition is solved......
