Well I ordered one from Marti. Very easy to do, enter some tag information and pay. Interested to see how it looks.

If you have to remove the plate, are the original style rivets available?

Yes, they are. I ordered two rivets along with the new tag.

Do you need a special rivet gun?

NO, ... a blunt nail should do the trick.

I wondered about that verses a pop rivet. I know now how they work but I'm not going that far. It's a local car show and driver.

I used a small round punch on our cars.Tap lightly. Looks close to original. You just want to leave an indention with enough bulge to hold tight. You can see one rivet here.

Afraid not. My plates were done years ago. They are new ones by A.G. Backeast. He’s retired now. Advertised in the Early Bird for years. Did Concours quality work on any make of car. From what’s posted here it sounds like Marti has filled his shoes.

I initially ordered the decal from Casco and was high fiving myself about how good it looked. I think I posted a photo in a thread here.
As soon at the heat got to it (making an assumption here) the new decal seems to have slided off the dataplate.
So I ordered one from Mardi, very happy including the rivets. If I remember then I will take a photo and post both when I get back home next week.
