Best Option For 1965 Thunderbird Tires

Post by Kartman01 »

I am in need of replacing the tires on my '65 Thunderbird convertible. In doing a quick search, it would seem there is a dizzying array of tire styles and options out there... and I am not certain which are correct.

My goal would be to opt for a tire that has radial construction with a sidewall design that comes as close as possible to OEM look. Correct size (or as close as I can get) is also a primary consideration.

Our car is a weekend driver, so I'm looking for something that handles well and looks correct for the car.

Thanks in advance for any help!

There are a few vendors who make retro looking tires where you can shop. I don't have any personal experience with any of these, so maybe someone else can provide testamonials.
