I agree that a bad ground can cause a lot of problems. Because of the dual filaments a bad ground on right side can cause the right filament to seek a ground through the left side filament causing it to light. Also do both turn signal indicators on the dash pod blink at the same time? Ifso the bad ground can be the dash pod itself. This is assuming you checked all the bulbs, a bad bulb can drive you nuts also.

All is working! Replaced the passenger side turn signal fixture and wires. The bulb socket was badly corroded and the wires were broken. The ignition key issue wasn't a problem at all. The operator (me) had the key in the wrong position. Years ago this never would have happened. I'm getting too old for this. Ha Ha! Thanks again.

You can pat yourself on the back for that one. Nice sleuthing especially after a 6-12V conversion. All kinds of stuff are touched in such a project.
