Aeromotive in-tank pump

Post by jtschug »

I'm installing an in-tank fuel pump, the same that WhiteThunder uses, but the instructions say it is for a 11" deep tank, and I'm measuring 13.25" from the mounting flange, which is about an inch lower than the top of the tank. Did you make any modifications to get it to work?

Looks like your not going to reach the bottom of tank. I think you may have a couple of options. Buy the Aeromotive Jet Sucker $250, the extension kit $185 or try to extend the arm that holds the pump in the tank. Only problem with extending the arm is that your foam baffle will then be to short. Or just go with it and adjust your float to show empty at that point but you will have an inch and a half of fuel that you will never get to. If no fuel gone through yours exchange for the Universal Kit that goes to 20 inches.
