Jen, you may want to get some sort of firmish price from your mechanic. My donor car had sat for 10+ years outside and the brakes were all rusted up, Me with the right tools took a good day to free everything up. I had to remove the backing front backing plates with drums stuck to get them apart. Some of the shops down here charge $75 to $100+ an hour to work on these cars. May be best to sell as is!!

Re: Disaster bird
I just got an offer for $2500 and am inclined to take it. I told the mechanic not to do anything else with it, but he says he was able to get it to crank after freeing up the carb linkage with a chemical. Does $2500 seem like a good price?BobHH wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 3:39 pm Jen, you may want to get some sort of firmish price from your mechanic. I would take $2500. From what you described it is probably not worth much more than that amount anyway. And it's out of your hair.
