Yes on the distributor line. It should ultimately be connected to the front of the carb.
The vacuum source for the trans comes from the smaller line connected to the brake booster. It transitions to a metal line and then down beside the trans itself, transitions back to a short piece of rubber hose. That little section at the trans likes to pop off. The connection is on the drivers side and makes a sharp U-turn into the modulator.
