71 429 SHIFT KIT...

Post by Gravygut »

I am thinking about putting a shift kit on my 1971 429(auto) Chicken.
If you have done it, or have read about it, please give me a report.
Good, Bad, I dont care!
Is it worth it?

Yes to shift kit!

A definte improvement, your car is quicker and you trans will last longer, run cooler in traffic, it's one of the first 'performance' mods you should consider.

Just don't get too radical a shift kit - one designated 'Street-Strip' would be in the ball-park.
