1970 Tbird armrest needed

Post by irishlass65 »

I am looking for an armrest for the drivers side front door for our 1970 Ford Thunderbird with the power window option. Am having a heck of a time finding one anywhere... Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Are you after the pad or the plastic substructure? There was a set of blue pads on eBay not sure if they are still there, the price was insane. I’ve been searching for the plastic substructure for quite some time with no luck. I’m leaning towards getting a plastic welder and having at it. I’ve been playing with tbirds for years and this one is by far the worst I’ve had for finding parts
Have had over 40 t birds here from 57-2004
Currently have a 65,70,and 80 Silver Anniversary

I bought those pads. The plastic is very receptive to plastic welding. Especially the white "colored" plastic.
It's very helpful, or perhaps necessary, to have another plastic structure to sacrifice and use as welding rod.
