67' thunderbirds worth

Post by rivermartin96 »

Hey ya'll, I'm fairly new to classic cars and was curious if anyone could tell me a could starting price for a 1976 Thunderbird. I don't have any specs as of yet, but I know that its currently not running and has some rust issues. Thanks!

Depends, are you wondering for a 67 per title or 76 per post message.
Figure it is a typo and you are asking about a 67 as you posted in that section.

Now for the specifications; is it a 2 door or 4 door; is it a Coupe or a Landau; what motor is in it 390 or 428 cube inch; are there any options, like cruise or auto dim headlites?

The price can vary based on condition, on a scale of 1 to 4; with a high of 19k to a low of 4500. (these figures are by Hagerty black book value and are only base line numbers for insurance value). The purchase price can be lower or higher on the buyer or seller's wants or needs.

Good luck on what you do.

Another place to get a handle on valuation would be Hagerty - https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/search/auto

Their tool will help give a range of values based on the condition etc.

I think the pics for this generation of T Bird are still those of the car I owned. I sent them in during my ownership.

The car is worth what you're willing to pay, and how much patience and headache you are willing to endure. Part of the problem with '67's is that they are so uniqie and parts are hard to come by or non-existent. My 2 cents would be to look for a car that is as complete as possible for parts and trim. Sheet metal can be fabricated, and paint can be restored. But both are costly. If the car needs either of those - I wouldn't go much over $1500 - $2000 and that's if the car runs and is derivable.
