History of this rare part??? C7SZ-17696-A

Post by stove »

I just bought this: http://r.ebay.com/2vLOfy

According to my Ford MPC, it lists a Right hand mirror for '67-'71 Thunderbird, however instead of a part number it plainly states "not available".
There is an offering (and part numbers) for optional RH mirror, on ALL other '67 M/Y Ford cars.
Everything I've read indicates that Ford never produced this part, and yet, here it is! Can anyone shed light on this?

Thanks!

I saw a RH Mirror on a post not long ago, which had already been sold. Price was $1,500. YIKES
