Vent Tube on 66 C6 Transmission

Post by jcpolky »

Hi Folks - my C6 has a vent tube on the top of the Transmission....the hose is broken off of it and I would like to know where the other end of it should run to?

Here's a photo of a C6 on its way to the overhaul shop. Note that the vent line extends from the top-center of the case down and to the left where it is clamped under the bolt that also secures the data tag, and the vacuum line to the modulator extends from the lower left of the photo to the upper right where it eventually connects to a fitting in the intake manifold. The other two are coolent lines to and from the radiator.

This is excellent...thank you. Mine had a rubber hose on the end and I could not figure out why. I am also missing the clip on the top bolt of the Transmission that holds down the modulator line to the carb...likely going to have to fabricate something.
