Mr. Harris - you persist. Please reread my message. I did NOT say your response was erroneous. I acknowledged it answered my questions.
Addressing me with your tactful dig as a 2 ft tall, blue, cartoon character is not at all the way to establish a 'friendship'. I AM NOT Smurf, thank you. I am a 6 ft tall, 70 yr old, white (not blue) male; a disable veteran; a holder of a commendation from a President of the United States and a citation from a Pope, amongst others. One who believes respect is earned.
Further I do not have 4 posts, I have ONE. If an edit generates a new post, than I'd think that recording method might need to be tweeked.

PLEASE Mr. Harris, go away! - GOOD BYE.

OK, guys.
All sides have been heard. As my last post stated, we're putting this whole line of discussion to rest. Any further responses will be deleted.

data plates

Here's another source for the Data plate. I got a plate from each source and they both were excellent. Marti's was a lot cheaper the last time I checked but that could have changed.

Today was a nice sunny day I brought out my T Bird for the neighbors to gaze at it, I also gave me room to get her out and extend the big doors so I wanted to take a picture of the Data Plate, I want to decifer the codes so bear with me and let me know if this is correct.

Is the VIN stamped on the engine itself anywhere or just in the engine bay?

NO VIN stamping on the engine for T-Birds of this period. Date codes on some engine parts, but no real way to tell if they are original to a particular car. So if somebody tells you their Bulletbird is "matching numbers" you can cheerfully respond "Bravo Sierra!"
Currently Birdless....we'll see how long that lasts!

Probably not going to be much help, but with the position the fast idle cam is in (in the pic) I don't think the screw should touch the cam. When the fast idle cam is rotated about 90 degrees counterclockwise it should touch and that's where it is opening the throttle plates. In the position it's in it has no effect on idle. Main idle the idle adjustment.
