replacement radio for 60 t-bird ?
Is the USA 630 the best way to go....I like HD /FM....could just cut the dash a new model....

I would not define "best" as requiring cutting the dash. Other options are available. That being said, only you can decide what to do.
PLEASE invest a few bucks and buy all the shop manuals for your car. Definitely will save you much time and be an education.

On my 59 The original radio worked. All I did was hook up an FM converter and attached it under the dash for my FM.

I like the AM/FM with RCA jacks "internal conversions" done on the original radio chassis.
The 1960 Ford Thunderbird. Unique in All the World.....

I liked the radio conversion shown on you tube that pulls tubes from a old donor radio , the add circuit boards to give it
