There is an H in the dealer code spot on the 1956 T-Bird trim tag. Everything I can find shows two letters not one? Any ideas?

Re: 1956 Dealer Code Question
Does an 'O' follow the H?

Re: 1956 Dealer Code Question
It is not rare to have the "O" missing on the "HO" District. There is no logical reason or pattern for this missing letter.
In other cases, the last letter is omitted after the item number has reached 999. For instance, in New York (BX becomes B), Los Angeles (LP becomes L) and San Jose (SK becomes S). In some cases the "O" in HO was omitted even though those units never reached four digits.
