Oil leak - inlet tube?

Post by Denver T-Bird »

I have an oil leak, there is a tube from the oil pan to the transmission? The leak is at the transmission. I tightened the nut on the tube but it seemed to make the leak worse. Any suggestions? What kind of seal is used an O-ring or a compression fitting? Thanks

Do you mean the tube from the oil pan to the oil pump? If so, yes there is a compression type seal that is used in the oil pump.

Sorry, yes to the oil pump. How is the best way to seal off a leak?
