Radial tyres with Kelsey wires. Air Leakage?

I have cross plys with Kelsey Wire wheels at the moment. We have inner tubes fitted into each tyre. If we change to Radials, will the wires leak? Could we stick with the inner tubes to ensure no leaks?

Anyone done this please?

With the experience I have had with the wire wheels, you will need tubes, Be sure to purchase Radial tubes.

When inserting the tubes into the tire when mounting, use plenty of powder, like baby powder.

As Dave mentioned, used tubes designed for radial tires (tyres)
