HEADERS...

Post by gravelman »

Does anyone know if these headers will work on our car. 428 Cobra jet exhaust manifolds Ford #C80Z-
9430-A (RH) and #C80Z-9431-A.(LH) I'm concerned about clearance?

Thanks,

I have headers from Ford Powertrain and they are really tight, no more than 1/4" to the frame. I think all companies that make headers for our cars have to wrestle with the space limitations. I doubt that CobraJet ones would fit.

I tried searching the MOD section for a half hour and could not find it, but this has been talked about for sure by people who attempted multiple options, including modifications to the shock towers. Maybe it was a '61/63??

paulr, I spent time as well searching 'exhaust headers' and finally gave up. Most of the posts were about leaking exhaust manifolds...

Hi Stubbie,

I just search out the same info earlier in the week. Stan Johnson is extremely knowledgeable and a good guy to boot. So I'm going with his headers.
Many thanks for your reply...

Take care
