Flowtech 12540FLT headders on 66 convertible

Post by Mike66 »

I would like a set of headders and a guy nearby has some 12540 Flowtech headders for a 390 truck. Does anyone know if these are possible to fit in a 66 Tbird convertible?

If you have a cutting torch, wire-feed welder, large hammer, a lot of patience and good fabrications skills, sure...if you're planning on just dropping them in, forget it. Do a search in the Forum for headers and see what turns up.

Look under the hood of a 390 pickup truck, and then look under the hood of a Thunderbird. Do they look the same or different?

I live in europe and dont see many trucks nor Tbirds here. And the amount of headders are not on the usual store so thats why I wanted to use these :)

I will likely get one of the Summit models instead https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/ ... hunderbird - although I see this requires a new mini starter also. Just wanted a set of headders and get some more flow but realize this is a tight fit nomatter what I find.

I have a welding machine and can cut, so if it was possible for the truck headders to fit, I could give these a shot but if they are totally different its a no go

Check other thread on this section - Sanderson are very small and won't cost as much to post as the FPA.
