removing convertible top well liner

Post by rdonham »

I need to get beneath the cloth liner in the well that holds the convertible top to find the source of a rattle. How can I do this.

I found it. There are posts along the back of the liner. Simply pull liner off posts and push back on to re-attach

While you are in there take a look to see if any water is getting trapped in that area. I was told a couple of years ago by a person that has bought and sold a number of Retro's that he had found a area that the rain got into with the top up and could not drain out, he had noticed a trail of water when the car was driven up his steep driveway.

My 02 has only been rained on once and was parked in a driveway at the time , rain was over in 5 minutes.
