Hey guys new to the board. I inherited a 78 Tbird that hasn't been started in 30 years. Only 25000 original miles on it. Anyways I dropped the fuel tank out of it for replacement because as to be expected the fuel was sludge. When I tried removing the fuel tank vapor separator valve from the top of the tank it broke. I cannot find a replacement anywhere. I tried a specialty shop that deals in old car parts and they said they couldn't find any in the US. my next step is to see if I can find one at salvage but didn't know if anyone had one in working condition or knew where I could find one or have one made.
Appreciate any help. Figures what's likely a $10 part or less is stopping me from putting my new tank in and starting this ride.
