Re: OEM or Concours Heater Hoses
ALSO if Marti can not send the ribbed hose material, check with your local """GM""" retro parts supplier. It is a little known fact that the repop GM suppliers sell ribbed hoses, minus the yellow or white paint line but a little finess and you can replicate that stripe....

Re: exterior window scrapers
If the exterior window seals are original, they are retained by a very small philips flat head screw at the ends buried in the wiskers felt/fleece, and clips that snap into the door panel along the length of the seal. A very gentle pry with a puddy knife along the seal and you will locate them. If r...

Do a "SEARCH" in past articles. This subject has come up several times, and does not be a reinvent the wheel topic. There have been several posts on this.

Re: Another sucker!
Not sure if you know or not but there are TBird members in Edmonton, and communicate with the Kelowna B>C> Bird Club. Do a search for Okanagan Classic T Bird Club. and see if they can refer some local members.

Re: Lower front shock mounting bracket
Best offer to help would be to check the upper arm pivot points, it sounds like they are warn, but due to the strength of the spring, the pressure can not be easily checked without compressing the spring to allow the upper arm to swing freely. If you have or know of a shop which has the Moog spring ...

Re: 1964 thunderbird temperature gauge problem
It appears you have a grounded power wire for the temp gauge. To normally test a gauge you would ground the sender wire on the body of the car, and observe the gauge. It appears this is the action you are seeing. I would recommend that you disconnect the wire off of the sender on the engine, and see...

Re: HORN
ELTBIRD To my knowledge, and I stand corrected, you are correct that a 66 non cruise Bird does not have a horn relay. It is listed in the shop manual as not required. This does create a small issue of an increased load on the wiring, when using the horns. I am surprised that FORD did not use a relay...

Re: HORN
Check out the relay that triggers the horns. Bad contacts or faulty unit. Check the plug also, its been known for the spade terminals not to be inserted correctly, The relay is located on inner fender, at WW bag beside the WW pump. OR The steering wheel contacts are at fault OR The steering box grou...

Re: 1966 front seatbelt buckle
This comment is for the Safety side of seat belts. Yes I fully agree with the thought of maintaining our Bird belts, and the comment of washing the belt material. BUT NOTE the washing of the web fabric can be a win/lose situation. Some cleaning soaps and chemicals can remove the dirt in the fabric b...

Re: Removing and replacing side view mirrors
I can not speak for the repop mirrors, but the assembly is not overly difficult to figure out or doing a little trial and error. With 3 cables, there are few combinations. (Like 6). Also note, the mirror bodies are pot metal, and any pitting can cost a fair bit of money to repair. Chrome shops do no...

Re: Removing and replacing side view mirrors
It would appear you have the late 65/66 ext mirrors. Yes to remove the units, you loosen/remove the allen screw, and the mirror head lifts off. In regard to the driver door unit, and its adjustment lever you will need to remove the inner door panel, and remove the 3 cables from the adjustment contro...

Re: 66 convertible deck lid won’t open
Hope you purchased the Andrew Pines retrofit relay system. It will provide the ability to not need to cut wires and retain the original power plugs.
