If the compressor has the oil already in it their should be enough for a typical automotive system. Having excessive oil in a system can damage the compressor internals such as valves and even bend a connecting rod. Re: 1966 ac question
If you purchase a new or rebuilt compressor it should have a bottle with the correct type and amount of oil with it, there should be no need to add oil for the refrigerant. The oil circulate with the refrigerant while the system is operating.

The plastic top hold down clamp was used on the 66, 64/65 used the bottom clamp to hold down the Ford battery with the bottom ledge clamp on it #27F.

Re: Original Brake Booster Vacuum Line
The oil can not get pulled up the vacuum hose from the transmission to my knowledge, unless the diaphragm in the modulator valve has been perforated. The diaphragms do fail over the years of use.

Re: Using the trunk on a 65 convertible
Sounds from your question that your trunk lid and top operation is not working correctly. If you just want to put items in your trunk when the lid will open with the top up and close without any switches being manually held you will be able to put things in the trunk.

You likely need to raise the rear of the car on axle stands to allow enough room to move the pipe back as it is slid out of its installed position. Also remove the clamps and/or loosen as required to be able to move the rest of the system to get the pipe out of the H pipe slip connectors if they are...
