Thank you for that ,I will be getting a shop manual. I thought the manuals were more focused on the 56 car and not the T-bird.

That's my problem also, I had a 56 back in the seventy's and cant remember.

No one has ever replaced a clutch on a 55-57 Bird ?

replacing clutch
Its been a while since I have worked on a early Bird, My question is to replace the clutch on a 56 is there enough room to slide the tranny back or do you need to pull the motor.

Granada Spindles

Love the look of your 56, I'm new to the site and would like to know what's involved to install Granada spindles on the small birds. I've put them on my 57 Ranchero and had to ream the holes for the ball joint and tie rod.
