Nice looking ride, looks like an excellent starting point for any direction you want to go with it. I bought my '66 almost a year and a half ago, the last owner had it for 15 years or so but it had stayed in the garage for the last few before I got it. I started by making sure that it was safe for t...

On my '66 I've got an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Milodon high volume water pump, 160deg thermostat, and have had my stock radiator rebuilt with a 3 row core - no hot running or overheating issues, even on the hottest days. What are you running for a thermostat?

Thanks for the link, read that one before, along with evrything else I could find on ride height, suspension, etc. I'm lowering the car for the look more than handling, though it will be getting a big front sway bar and a rear one also. Anyway, the issue with all of the numbers comes down to tire he...

Ride height question for the guys with totally stock '66s

I searched the forum for an answer but couldn't find it so I need some help with a ride height question. I'm going to be ordering new coil and leaf springs for my '66, I'll be lowering the car with shorter front springs from Jamco and either rear lowering blocks or custom leaf springs (if Eaton stil...

I recently had the weepy original radiator in my '66 recored with a 3 row core and the leaky expansion tank repaired by a local speed/radiator shop. It was about $550 total. My water pump was also shot, I replaced it with a Milodon high volume water pump and used a high volume 160deg thermostat and ...

Yeah, no kidding. I got the tach used and that's where the last guy had it, I forgot to move it before snapping the pic.

Put a new radio and tach in the '66, looks pretty good

My original radio crapped out on me shortly after I bought the car last year so I've been sans tunes for quite a while. I finally got around to ordering a Custom Auto Sound USA-230 and got it installed yesterday. I know they're not top quality but it'll do until I get around to having a proper set u...

I just put this same intake with a Holley vacuum 600 on my '66 a few weeks ago. My intake gaskets were hemorrhaging oil, so, like you, I figured since I had to pull the manifold anyway I'd go with aluminum. Plus, there's no way I would have been able to put the old one back on by myself, it weighs a...

Yeah, you'd think the alignment shop would have noticed. I ordered new ones and will replace them and see what kind of difference the new ones make.

Inner tie rods - should there be any play?

I have a "wandering" issue, going down the road my '66 has a tendency to drift left and right depending on the road surface and requires constant correction to keep it going straight. I've thought the steering felt kind of loose - you can move the steering wheel back and forth several inch...

Actually, with work and the extra long and cold winter we've had, the Tbird mods were set aside for a while. It's only recently gotten warm enough to get out in the garage and work. As it turns out, the old exhaust manifolds are real bears to get loose, there's so little room to get on the bolts, th...

Your car looks great. How about posting some more info. I'm curious about the make and size of your wheels and tires - do the wheels fit without spacers? Also interested in what kind of exhaust system you have on it and what you've done with the suspension to achieve the subtle rake.
