G'day.
I have never seen one of those welsh plugs (freeze plug) in Australia before.
What really scares me is the words that are written at 10.00 o'clock, (China).
Scary stuff.

There is a small machined surface near the oil filter.

G'day.
I don't know how bad they are but I have had some success with taking my instruments to a local instrument repairer and he has fixed them.

Lens - instrument cluster warning lamp.
G"day.
Does anybody know if the two little lenses that say "OIL" and "DIS" in the fuel and temperature gauge cluster is reproduced new?
If not I suppose "The Bird Nest" would have them but then I suppose they would only be sold with the gauges.
Many thanks,
Karl.

Re: Brake shoes set up pictures?
When I was doing research for my car I never did come up with a definitive answer as to 2 or 4 pin hold down. I have seen shoes with 2 pins and shoes with 1 pin. Also be aware of the images that you see in the Ford manual. Usually there say "Typical" This would cover a wide range of differ...

G'day.
My car is a 63.
Just because you are missing the adjuster parts doesn't mean you have the wrong diff. Some people remove the self adjusting parts because they can be problematic especially when old and worn.

Re: Inertia bendix drive.
Thanks Alan and all the best for the coming year. Unfortunately yes it is not what I am looking for and I would have to agree with you that the Bendix that I am inquiring about did not have individual service parts. Thanks anyway I will keep the image, it may come in handy in the future. The circlip...

Re: Inertia bendix drive.
Yes Steve that is the correct one. You don't have a drawing of the exploded or individual parts.
It seems Ford only sold it as a complete unit. In the MPC on the next page it shows the positive engagement Bendix with the individual parts.

Re: Inertia bendix drive.
G'day. I managed to obtain some parts and repaired my old Bendix. I ended up making up a small press to hold the parts together whilst the circlip is inserted to hold it all together. The spring can be compressed by hand but having to hold the Bendix apart, compress the spring and insert the circlip...

Re: Shift lever roll pin removal
G'day.
I have seen photo's where people had placed a large lump of timber (4 x 2 or similar) between the steering column and the floor to hold the steering column still whilst you drive out the pin.
When I did mine it seemed to out easily.

Re: Carb identification
G'day Cliff, How are things? The C3A doesn't seem right, I would say that it is for a full sized Ford. All the Autolite carb numbers in the OFS start with C3SF or from what I can work out for a replacement one it will be C3SZ. The 3KD is the date when the carb was made, this translates to year-63, m...

Re: Steering axle 180 degrees off
Correct me if I am wrong. The shaft that connects the rag joint to the steering wheel is just a round shaft with splines on one end. All the turn signal parts are either on the steering column or on the steering wheel itself. So if you take the steering wheel off and straighten the road wheels then ...

I made my own. It doesn't have to be that elaborate, just a piece of heavy steel with three holes. You could use a long nut and bolt for the center one.Karl.

Re: Inertia bendix drive.
G'day Cliff.
That one looks like the positive engagement one.
The one that I have is the earlier inertia one.
All I really need is the two parts. I will keep hunting.
Thanks very much for your offer Cliff.
