If you keep an eye on ebay you might find decent a hood v at a good price. I have seen a few on there.

I second 66 flairbird. If steel wool doesn't get you where you want to be, save your money and get the bumpers rechromed.

I feel your pain...I have the same issue

My transmission is currently sitting on my garage floor, with hopes of it going back in this weekend.

I recently rebuilt my carb as well. Had the same gas/fume smell problem.

I set the air/fuel ratio to the initial setting...turned out it was running extra rich, after I turned the ratio down about a 1/2 turn, smell is gone.

Original 1970 Thunderbird BEAUTIFUL!

I saw this car at a gas station the other day, and it is amazing.

I don't know the seller, but 2 days later, here it is on craigslist.

No, it wasn't just finished. It was painted 3 years ago. Interior is still being worked on. I think the motor and transmission are original, but am not for sure. Runs and drives, quite well, actually. Has a new gas tank, fuel pump, water pump. Has an edelbrock carb. I guess I was just really trying ...

Glad to know that, its probably what I will end up doing...

What cam are you running? I saw t-bird HQ has some links to some Edelbrock cams. About a hundred bucks... I sure would like a cam as well

I had to replace my pressurized line, theres a fitting that is right around the top of the wheel well, it's where mine was leaking from.

I'd say just follow the pressurized line, its probably the culprit.

No updates yet, money is a little tight at the moment. As well as needing a few other things done first. Flowmaster 40 series sound is exactly what I am after, I am not sure they make them "tube" style... I did find these on their site tho... http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/searchfmm/sea...
