Vintage Thunderbird Club International

I have a nicely optioned Tbird but with only AM radio. Has anyone installed Sirrius radio with the removable dock through the AM radio? Also has anyone used the replacement stereo speaker that replaces the single speaker in the front dash and is it any good?

Thanks for the info Bob,I will try that as soon as I have time,I hope 1 inch will be enough because that sounds like an easy fix instead of maybe drilling new holes in the track or floor.
