Re: Exhaust Manifold Gasket
Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, be sure you use the correct "gasket" for the job. A very thin heat shield was used at the factory, and is the the best choice for this repair. The thick gaskets that come in rebuild or head gasket sets are not going to make you happy for long. there's ma...

Re: Questions about the intake manifold.
Can someone explain if coolant actually flows through the intake. Does it circulate from one side of the intake to the other? Are the rear ports supposed to be blocked? Yes coolant flows through the intake. There is a good picture in the shop manual of flow. Since the heads can be used on either si...

Re: Removing Landau roof trim
Did you have the package tray removed? And do you remember if you were able to access that rearward nut from the trunk? Or the interior? I did have the package tray, seats and interior trim removed. I was able to just undo the bottom of the headliner to get at those fasteners. I got to all the fast...

Re: 1965 convertible project
I'll add my welcome and expand a bit on Lee's comments about the shifter. ALWAYS swing the column to the right when you're not in the driver's seat, even if the car isn't running. Don't find out about this the hard way (trust me) Good luck, Bob C

Re: fan wont work on high
That might be a little unfair, I doubt that is a Ford drawing. This is a scan from the 64 shop manual which shows flow through motor to ground using the blower switch. hope that clears things up.Can we just say that once more Ford screwed up?

Re: fan wont work on high
Bob, the schematic I looked at (taken from the 64 manual) shows the ground to the switch having the most resistance Terry, I wanted to go to a 64 shop manual before I replied. You may not see the flow of the circuit, some things are inferred. the movable contact is grounded. Power flows into the bl...

Re: fan wont work on high
the resistor doesn't come into play for high speed, if the fan works in all the other speeds I'd suspect the switch. JMO Bob C
