Re: Looking at a 64 Convertible
It's hard to give a value when your not there to actually see it in person. I was just looking at for sale pages and it seems a convertible in good condition is going for around $22-40k. Just looking at what you have there and the problems you've explained it could be worth about $10-15k. It's obvio...

Re: Looking for 1964-66 Seat Covers.
It's been about 7-8 years and I may be remembering this wrong but I'm sure I was told that Silver Mink upholstery was not available anymore as new, so it might be better to stick with the Tan color. Other wise paint may be your only option for missing or damaged parts.

Vintage Air has a system that operates off your original controls if that is what you prefer.

Re: Another 66 Town modification thread
Thanks. 6r80 transmissions only used in a diesel Ford here or Ranger, an import f250 or Mustang (I think) but they are like over $4K to buy. This might help thanks.

Re: Another 66 Town modification thread
Privateer do you have any ID tags or stickers on your transmission that you can post pics of please. A 6R80 just came up for sale here and was wanting to compare the ID tags. Thanks

Re: Another 66 Town modification thread
There is a starter that bolts into the usual place but has adjustment on the body for such adjustment. Can't remember the brand.
Edit
Just read that a Powermaster 9605M is specifically made for FE and header clearance.

Re: Fuel Injection!
Oh, really. Could have sworn I looked at that. I must be going senile. Edit Just looked and they come with a longer tube and bracket for deeper tanks. Well at least the Holley does but I would assume the others do as well. https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_pumps_regulators_and_filter...

Re: Fuel Injection!
Scott 600CFm is about right for a stock 390 so the 570CFM should be good. Not sure why you went with the bigger 900 one. Only you will know. You could try one of these pumps. https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_pumps_regulators_and_filters/fuel_pumps/in-tank_retrofit_fuel_module/parts/...

I would have thought the spacer would be good to help atomize the fuel.

Front bumper and brackets probably weigh about 45Kg's and the brackets for the rear are quite heavy also.

Go buy one without. Only really needed if you live in a cool climate.
