After much thought over what tires to put on I ended up with Coopers. The ride is so much better with radials. Thanks to everyone for the great advise

Tbirdman, I have found the same reviews too. The 70 size is almost 1inch smaller in diameter than the 75,do you think it looks good on your car or is it a little small. Thanks for the info,I am trying not to spend big money on the American Classics.

Royce, I have the BF Goodrich tires on now and I am not happy with them,I am hoping to get a better ride with the radials. I have the build sheet for my car and it came with that type of tire too but still think I am going to buy radials and hoping for a better ride. Like 60fore said I find that the...

A newbie tire question

I think I know the answer after looking at all the past posts about tires but just in case I missed something before I lay my money down. Are new radial tires going to improve the handling of my 65 compared to the bias ply that came on the car when I got her a few weeks ago. Also I see from past post...

If you are talking about the horizontal piece just above the carpet this is what I did because the prior owner did a bad job installing mine and it fell off the first day I got the car which was only a few weeks ago. I bent the first 2 or 3 little metal tabs on the back on one side one way and bent ...
