It is better to drive the car a while before checking the trans fluid level. You can run the engine in your driveway up to operating temp, then move the gear selector through all gears a couple of times (stopping for a brief time between changes) then check the fluid level while the engine is still ...

If you don't want to worry about which rims to use on the front, get a pair of back spacers and once installed the rim won't rub against the calipers.
I have 1" spacers on mine, and they solve the problem about which rim to use.

The car looks to me like it is jacked up in the rear.
I have never seen a stock 66 that stood that high off the ground, especially in the rear.

I usually watch re-runs of the Perry Mason show, and all the cars are of the fifties, sixties generation.
Once in a while they use a 64 Tbird convertible in that show.

yea i also get a little side to side movement,iv been just acting like its not happening,Might need to take a look at that I would suggest you look at it soon, and adjust it. It is a very hairy feeling when taking a bend in the road if the steering wheel has a little side to side movement. It is ea...

Problem solved. It was the stop adjustment on the steering wheel. Every so often I would have to adjust that bolt with the rubber cap that regulates the stop position of the sliding column. When ever I felt a little slop in side to side motion, I would tighten it. Yesterday before taking off for the...

The car is in my driveway, which is a flat surface. When I went to take it out of the yard yesterday to get gas, the steering wheel moved as it should, too the left, and locked into position. When I tried to move the shifter into reverse to back out, the shifter would not let me get the car into reve...

Shifter problem.

Unlike most who say their car slips out of park, I have just the opposite problem. The car never had a shifting problem when it comes to putting the car in gear. I drove the car today, and all was fine. I decided later to take the car to the gas station for a fill up, and it started up fine, but wou...

I have the caps, I removed them to take the picture so you could see where the po did his welding job.
I really need to know the orientation of the bushings that I will be installing.
Because neither side has the bushings, I am not sure how they go.

Front shocks install.

I recently developed an annoying thump in the front suspension when going over rough roads, and especially railroad tracks. Since owning this 66, despite what the op said he replaced, I have found a few things that needed replacement. This thumping noise started about a month ago. I took a look at t...

Probably twisted the gasket when installing it.
Put a little pressure on the unit as you turn it .
That should hold the gasket in place while turning the unit to the seated position.

None of the links open up to the car on ebay.
I guess it is because the ad was pulled back then.
