Electric window conversion
Has anyone tried converting the original components to a more current system such as the one with a wire and it goes straight up and down instead of the scissor action the original has? It so how is it working out and what did you use?

Re: Stuck piston in brake caliper
I tried the suggestions above which none of them worked. The piston was shot so I drilled a hole in the middle and threaded it. I then put a long bolt in it and screwed it in until the piston popped out. Yes I did have to take the halves apart.

Anyone have any tricks they would like to share on how to get a stuck piston out of a brake caliper? The others have came out (not easily) they were not rusty or corroded .

Re: Looking to sell. Need advice what to ask for.
We have enough donor cars and there are less and less of these cars out there. I say find another engine if this can't be fixed or sell it to someone who will. I am all for saving Thunderbirds. As for that engine some people have had luck with soaking the piston cylinders with diesel fuel and freein...

Re: 1966 power window frustation
I took mine apart and cleaned the contacts real good. Used a knife to scrape the contact surface area and then some electrical cleaner. Works good now. Also check the connections inside the door that they are clean and tight.

Re: Bleed Brakes New Calipers
I have never had to bench bleed a master. I have had thunderbirds (amongst other cars) since 1973 and replaced a few masters. I start bleeding them at the master and work my way out. I use the 2 person method. Always worked well for me.

Re: Ignition switch
No it sticks when trying to start the car. Kind of like I have the wrong key. If I keep wiggling it finally it will turn and start the car.

Ignition switch
All of a sudden my ignition switch is sticking. It only sticks when I try to start the car. If I go the other way no problem. Any one else ever have this problem? It's almost like using a key from another car that is close to yours but you have to wiggle it around to get it to work.

Re: Tired Of Chasing My Hubcap
I am having the same problem too. Only one of my rims. I tried bending my tabs out. Seems to have worked for a little while but yesterday I had it jump off again. We had high winds and I was going down a country road. I think I know where I lost it. I'll be doing some ditch walking tomorrow looking ...

My fan control switch was stuck on the off position. I have to pry pretty hard to get it to move. Now the fan does no turn on in any position. Is this switch the same in none air condition cars and one with?
