Re: Rehab/repair of sequential motor assembly
Another great tutorial by one of our own! Never ceases to amaze me, the ingenuity and varied talents of our forum members. But one question on my mind, as I'm sure it is on some others is : did you really gain 4-10 hp at the wheels from using this spray? http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr308/fore...

Re: New vacuum advance, car stalls on acceleration
Not true. Both my '62 and '64, which had their original Autolite carbs, used ported vacuum from the carb via a steel line to the vacuum advance on the distributor.

Re: 1964 Landau Project
One thing I noticed in looking at your underhood pics - the clocking of your air cleaner is off.
Noticed that too--is that due to the Edelbrock, maybe? Love that sweet silver Bird. When you getting your next one??
I'm sure you're right about the Edelbrock Paul. If you look closely at...

Re: 1964 Landau Project
Welcome Nick! There is a wealth of help and info here at your disposal. Unfortunately your photo links wouldn't work for me; picture posting instructions for this forum can be found further down the main page. By the way, the original carb on T-Birds of this vintage was a Ford Autolite 4100, not a H...

Re: Mystery vacuum line?
The shop manual doesn't have much info re. the vacuum lines. You need the Osborn electrical assembly manual.
And a picture or two would sure help others see what you're dealing with here.

Well Bud you know the old saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words". Never more true than when you're trying to sell a car.
If you can't figure out how to post pics using the tutorial on the forum, maybe your son/daughter/significant other could help you.

Re: '63 Engine Compartment Detailing
Automotive parts stores carry spray bombs in a wide selection of OEM colors. You may not find Ford Argent Silver, but there's probably another color out there which is a very close match to it. Shouldn't cost more than about $10. By the way I think I still have the can of Argent I was able to find, ...

Re: '63 Engine Compartment Detailing
I was able to buy a rattle can of Argent Silver (Motorcraft brand) through my local Ford dealer.
As for the coil top, perhaps you could find a match in a line of paint intended for scale modelers (ie. Testor's). You're looking for a mustard yellow color, hence the term "mustard-top coil".

Tough to say without seeing some pics to get an idea of the overall condition of the car. How many miles on it? Have engine and trans been rebuilt?

I used a bulb puller tool to get mine out. Bought it at Radio Shack.

Re: highway rpm's and a story
Every Friday evening cars gather at the Skyview A&W on 137 Ave. & 122 St. Several of us from the T-Bird club have met there.
There are many other weekly gatherings throughout the city; do a search for Edmonton cruise nights and you should find them listed.

Re: Authentic Wheel Covers
Sorry Tom, gotta beg to differ with you on this one. My '64 had 15" wheels, and they were original to the car. Original tire spec was 8.15 X 15, as indicated in the article linked below:

Wheel size change from 14" to 15" happened in '64, not '65
