Re: 64 Tbird big project- 4.6L mod motor, 5spd manual, IRS
Just FYI. You do not need to mini tub to fit a 275 Depending on rim back space. The rims I got will fit a 275 on all 4 corners with nothing more than a 1" spacer back and front. There are tons of room in the wheel wells. Im actually debating going up to a 315 on the back Which might be doable w...

Re: SOMETIMES IT IS BEST TO LEAVE THINGS ALONE
Un do the switch and see if the wires move freely in the colum. If then do disconnect the wires from the bottom use some electrical tape to attach some mechanics wire or a straightened out coat hanger to the existing wires. Then carefully pull/feed the hanger threw the colum. Once it comes out the t...

Re: Hood Hinges New from Larry's Not Fitting, Help
Speaking as someone who spent ten years working in body shops this is normal for anything aftermarket. There is always some "adjusting" that needs to be done to get everything to fit right. This is we you always test fit everything before final paint. Just grind out the holes till it lines...

As long as you remember that your time is worth something.
So man guys plan builds and never factor in their own labour.

Ambitious project to be trying to turn a profit with but good on ya.
If you already have the motor than go that route
If I were starting from scratch I'd do dohc all the way.
Miss my markV some days but the old bird is far far cheaper to work on.

Cool project. But why not go with the dohc 4.6 out of the mark 8 as well
This mustang single cam 4.6 are enemic in a mustang let alone a bigger heavier car.
If you can find something out of a mark. You save weight with the aluminum block and get more bang for your buck

Wiring
Work is progressing slowly. Slower than I'd like but that's life. I'm always trying to plan ahead for the next stage of the project. Once all the sheet metal is welded up and. And body work is done I'm gonna need to tackle the wiring There are a few spots where somone has been messing around with sp...

Re: FiTech EFI 4
Will it run lean enough for the restrictive factory manifold or are you upgrading that as well?
Interested to see the results.

Re: ADJUSTING THE ROD IN THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER
What he said^^^^
If the rod was out of adjustment it would either brake early in the stroke or late. If it's just really hard to push I would think something else is going on.

Re: Suspension components
Yeah good idea but I'd prefer something designed as a kit specific to the car in question. When fitting the rims I removed the spring so I could test the full tuck and was surprised how much tension just the control arms will hold. Granted I have the motor out but the front would come off the jack s...

Re: Suspension components
Cool product but I don't think our strut towers were designed to take that strain. I've heard people comment about them moving if you remove the brace so I imagine this would be an issue long term with out some serious restructuring. My issues is I bought some rims used that are spot of for the car ...

Re: Mufflers vs. resonators
Resonators clean up the sound. But don't do much to make it quieter
Without mufflers it would be loud which isn't always bad. But it will drone a lot which can be hard to bear on long trips.
