I posted this in General section and received no responses so I am trying here. I don't have the insulation under the hood on my 65. The car was repainted and the previous did not replace it. Is it Necessary to have it and if yes, why?

I dont know what was done to the engine when the previous owner had it done ( he passed away) so I am not sure if I need it. Will it cause me a problem if I used it anyway? Thanks, rollsman

Would the car run any better using the Octane Booster? If so which brand do you recommend, how often? I use 93 Octane now( Sunoco. Shell and Other gas that is near to me). Thank you, rollsman
