Re: Battery Availability
They stay in business because many people want a battery that looks like original even though car is not shown for Concours. And they don't mind spending two or three times the normal price for a battery that looks original. And the suppliers know this so they don't have to worry about customer serv...

Writing on the side is kind of a moot point because it doesn't show anyway because the the heat guard on one side and the fender on the other.

Re: Brake ?'s
I've always used a box end wrench for the bleeder. Tight, but not a real problem. Usually the longer the better clear obstructions and for max force (without breaking anything). Also helps in turning range. uote=RossL post_id=136896 time=1706892445 user_id=10031] When I tried to bleed the brakes I c...

Re: Replacing hard brake line
CASCO, and I assume others, have a two piece line that makes the job much easier. When I first got my car, I had to replace the line in the back. I ended up cutting the line re-flaring the ends and used a union to connect once I had everything in place.

Re: Body swap '55
I see quite a few of these attempts go on the block only part way through. While reasons are not given for the sale, I can only surmise they got too complicated and expensive to continue with almost no returns.

Re: Chassis number assistance
CTCI, and the people who had these invoices before them, made photocopies of the original invoices before they were sold. CTCI does note this and additional requests for the same car are told only a copy is available to purchasers. It should be noted that they don't have invoices for every early Bir...
