I use Hagerty for my '69.
18K agreed upon value, limited KM's per year (I recall under 5000, I never drive it more than 2000) and I pay $275 CDN.

Re: my thunderbird's gate release
Cool story about the yellow 66 convertible. My father in law had a yellow 66 that he removed the white interior from, and installed an all black interior. Would have been in the 80's in Oakville, Ontario. He tells stories about the Hamilton Tiger Cats using his car in parades due to the color combo....

Re: Tips on adjusting parking brake.
I figured it out. There was quite a bit of slack in the two cables going to each rear wheel. Works well now and doesn't drag. That'll give me peace of mind until I can rebuild the steering column to address the car slipping out of park. I may be wrong, but it sounds like you're hoping the parking b...

Re: No brake lights
On the upside I proved my ability to correctly diagnose this problem. It was indeed the column switch that needed replacing.
On the downside, I could not do that myself so $ spent at the mechanic.
Problem solved. Works great now!

Re: No brake lights
Installed a new trunk flasher unit to no avail years ago.
Found a non tilt, non cruise control column switch on eBay.
Take the car to my mech next week.
Time to bite the bullet and get this solved properly.

Re: 1971 Build Quantity?
+1 on the value of the Marti report. Gives you annual numbers that year, and the number sold that was identical to yours in colour and option combination. My '69 is 1 of 180 that year with identical colour and options.

Likely a vacuum issue if you cannot move where the wind blows from. I bought a bunch of manuals on cd off eBay. Great for tracing issues.

With the AC off, can you blow air through other vents? Heater etc?

Do the brake lights work? It all goes through the switch on the column.

Re: Winter storage
Similar to others here with my 69 (year 5 now, but had 32 motorcycles before the T Bird so quite familiar with winterization in Canada of summer toys). I put steel wool in the tailpipes and intake to prevent rodents in addition to the great ideas shared already. I am losing my winter storage this Ma...

That's a sharp looking 67!

Re: Only 7 MPG - City
A different year and motor, but I get about 10mpg in town in my 69 with a 429.
Best I have seen it about 16mpg on the highway cruising a steady 60-70mph.

I have the local T Bird gatherings in my calendar but work travel has had me all over Canada since Christmas.
