Re: Battery draining 1959

How long is this Bird sitting between drives? A clock could run a battery down.... over a loooonnnggg period of just plain sitting.

Re: 60 tbird mirros

There really was no "correct" location. The outside mirrors were usually installed after the cars arrived at the dealerships. So the mechanics decided door or fender holes, just depended on who was installing them & where they were used to mounting outside mirrors at...

Re: Calling all 430 V-8 Experts!

Your going to spend a ton of money rebuilding a 430cid. As mentioned above, the welded in 430 engine mounts will need to be there & are extremely hard to find. I'd recommend finding a 390cid & rebuild it. New roller internals, aluminum heads, etc would make very good power & last a very...

So the previous owner (you bought the car from) passed away some 30-yrs ago and you want to know what about this '59 Bird exactly?

Have you tried the California DMV to see how far back their records can go? Sounds like you could be the 2nd or 3rd owner of this bird...?

I have to be honest, I really love the colors on that Pacific Coast cruiser. I think these were offered in low #'s in 2004 model year?

I think that Bird is really clean/straight. It has leather seats, fender skirts, etc.

In short, IMO- she is worth MORE than $3K.

Recent VTCI Scoop article

Why wasn't this article edited by the Scoop staff prior to printing? I'm referring to any negitive wording or comments directed at fellow Thunderbird supporti...
