Have you tried the California DMV to see how far back their records can go? Sounds like you could be the 2nd or 3rd owner of this bird...?

I think that Bird is really clean/straight. It has leather seats, fender skirts, etc.

In short, IMO- she is worth MORE than $3K.

Whatever he finds have him replace the 3 rubber lines on your car, just for safetys sake if nothing else.
