Do any of the major T-bird dealers sell the aluminized muffer/resonator parts? Usually the choice is carbon steel or stainless the last time (7 years ago) I had to get these parts.

The resonators and mufflers on my '66 are ready to go, and I'm looking at replacement time soon. I'm not worried about strict stock replacement and was thinking of just putting straight thru pipe in place of the resonators. My friend is looking for replacement 4x8" speakers for his '66 Bird AM/8 track radio. The orginal cones are shot. Are there any aftermarket speakers of this size available anywhere? Or, if anyone has some to sell.

Looks like the original vacuum advance diaphram went on my '66 Bird 390. Doesn't hold vacuum. I have a replacement, but it hooks up with vacuum hose to a nipple on the unit, instead of the original, which a brass fitting, on the vacuum line, screws into the unit. Thanks for the info so far.....I forgot to mention, when I got the regulator assy out, the tension spring fell out ( I had the window fully up), any help on which way it is supposed to go?
