There are little suction cup looking tools for extracting miniature bulbs from electrical panels. A good electronic parts supply might have one - 5 bucks or so. Or you could try a spark plug boot. Cut it down as necessary to grab the bulb, push and twist.

Did you move the master cylinder under the floor of the car? If not then you need a combination valve and not residual pressure valves. Its a brass or chrome thingy that connects into both the front and rear brake lines at the master cylinder and the brake lines connect to it at the appropriate plac...

I prefer Mallory since that's all I have ever used. A lot of people don't like them because they are not "forgiving" of mistakes - burn up easily if wired wrong. Make sure the connections are clean and tight and you should have no problems. I had one in a 68 Mustang for 10 years. BTW Mallo...

Here's a link to the Pertronix troubleshooting guide available on their website. http://www.pertronix.com/support/manuals/pdf/ignitor12vneg.pdf I'm a Mallory Unilite fan and have never used a Pertronix unit but from what I've seen on other cars and what I read on the site I think you need a clean 12...

Our engines require a higher level of ZDDP to protect the flat tappet camshafts. Newer engines have roller lifters and this is not as much of a problem. The Rotella T used to have plenty, I used it in my bike, but the EPA has changed the regs on diesel engines too and mandated lower levels of ZDDP f...

Sounds like you have a severe vacuum leak. Probably something is not sealed properly from everything you took off. Check your vacuum readings on the intake manifold. At idle you should have something near 19 inches and the needle should be steady.

Re: Help Identify a Holley Carb

For a start you have your vacuum advance hose hooked up to the wrong fitting. Block that fitting off and hook your hose up to the fitting below the throtle blades, just above the base of the carb. It may help things a bit... Then check your float level.[/quote] --------------------------------------...

There my be air trapped inside the engine. Try removing the heater hose from the water pump and running the engine to purge the air out. Or you can try jacking the front of the car higher, removing the radiator cap and running the engine that way to purge the air. If that's not the problem it may be...

That's a model 4160. Vacuum Secondaries and a fuel transfer tube. There's some numbers on the air horn (where the choke plate is) that you can look up on Holley's site. Here's a couple of links for you- http://holley.com/ http://holleytv.com/?p=316 Remember to keep the little air bleeds clean. They'...

Yes, there are a lot of new "Specialty" LED's on the market today. If you look at the LED replacement tail light bulbs they have rings of LED's around the perimeter. This is because LED's send most of their light out of the top as a sort of focused beam. Very little if any light is emitted...

Aluminum radiators became popular for 2 reasons 1- Cost, Aluminum is cheaper than copper/brass - good for OEM profit margins. 2- Weight, Aluminum radiators are lighter than copper/brass and this is good for OEM's mileage numbers and it is good for racers (ie lighter cars are faster). Aluminum is mor...

Personally I'd go with a flex fan for less drag on the engine and water pump bearing at highway speed.

Glad to see you have the shoulder belts up high. Years ago people used to mount them to the floor behind the seats. This resulted in broken backs because the belts would put downward pressure on your shoulder as your body moved forward and we just don't bend like that.
