Re: 1966 Seat Belt Length
I cant seem to figure out how to post a picture here but if you go to this link you will see a decent picture of a belt buckle for the rear seat but it is the same as the front. ( I hate posting pictures here because for me it never works) http://automotivemileposts.com/files/tbird1966sierraclothblu...

Re: 32nd Annual Bloomington Thunderbird
ICON, There are usually 6-12 cars from the Chicagoland Thunderbirds that make the trip down and occasionally a few more in everyday cars the day of. This is a very nice show with a laid back attitude. With nice weather you expect 60-75 cars. From Mokena you are looking at about 120 miles (I live at ...

Re: Interesting '64 on eBay
I remember a guy in the Chicagoland club that had a Samoan Hardtop and a poster with some production figures and if I remember right there are only 2 Samoan conv. with air and leather and if Im correct I could see a car going for high $ but I think these people fell off their rocker once too many ti...

Re: Decommissioning AC
I would leave everything on the car as is. When parts get taken off they sometimes get in the way and find themselves in the trash later or when the car gets sold you forget where you "hid" those extra parts. I had a Mustang conv that I sold several years back and when I sold the car I cou...

Re: Possible trade
Does it have fenderskirts? If so I would be interested in the stainless trim on the lower edge. Does it have a good power seat switch. I would be interested there too.

Re: Headlight Half Moon covers
ICON, Its great that you are sprucing up your car to the way you like it but at some point you wont be able to call your car all original-mint if you keep adding or changing things. I saw your post the other day about selling your original wheels, if you do that you cant call it original anymore. I ...

Re: Help finding history of my car
Welcome to the VTCI. This is the best group of Thunderbird people that you will find. You can try the tbirdregistry website. You can enter your VIN and if anyone previous to you sent in info or if someone "spotted" your car you can find out where it has been. The website is http://www.tbir...

When you order new plates you also need to order the Ford decal that goes in the center rectangle. They are sold seperatly.

I use that also Richard- I unscrew the knob completely and put it in my pocket when I go to an overnight show as an anti theft device.

Re: Battery replacement
I would take the battery out and bring it inside your apartment and place it on a piece of wood in a closet or something. You can always get a battery tender and connect it in the apartment. With the battery out you save yourself the risk of electrical fire and theft of the car being driven away. As...

Re: My 1961 Bullet Bird
Hi ICON, If you ever decide to repaint your car you may want to think about removing the 1 1/2" pieces of trim on the rear quarters as I believe those are the pieces that belong on a 62 as can be seen in the thread below. (Go down to the post from ozbird) The 62 has 3 rectangular decorations on...

How about soaking it in Coca Cola and gently rub aluminum foil on it.

Just remember that a custom bird is better than a junkyard bird.
