Anyone come up with a good workable solution?
Have same problem and would be very interested in hearing any updates.
Thanx,
Tom

Re: Weatherproofing and the weatherstrip from hell
Really sorry to hear about your problems. Don't want to sound like I am trying to "rub salt into the wounds", but doing a SEARCH and asking questions before taking the leap of a purchase and/or installation can often (actually = usually) save a LOT of headaches. I am a wealth of advice bas...

Icon, that's Tom's Bird that was repeated in my last post (I WISH mine looked that good! Lol! All that it takes is time and money .....and skinned knuckles and aching back and banged head and searching the web and forum for answers and advice and understanding neighbors and a garage that is too cro...

Re: Authentic Wheel Covers
For what it's worth, here is a picture of my '63 with her "wire wheel hubcaps". I picked these up at a swap meet a couple of years ago for around $50-$60 if I remember correctly. If you can find them, you can usually get a pretty good deal since thaer is not a real big demand for 14" ...

Re: Heater Valve annoyance / confusion
Does anyone know if the valve out of a '63 HT will fit? I have a complete heater assembly and controls that I removed when I installed the Vintage Air system a while back. Can't say what kind of condition the valve is in, but will be glad to look. It might at least make a good rebuild core. I can ta...

Steering Column Cone, Lower, Tapered???????
Guys, I currently have my '63 HT's steering column (Swing Away) disconnected from the steering box (Power Steering) replacing the rag joint. I thought that while I was in there, I would replace all the pressure hoses and other "consumables". I find a "Steering Column Cone, Lower, Tape...

Re: Intake Manifold "Water Pump Tube"?
Elliot, Engine looks GREAT!! I don't want to be a downer, but having just completed an engine assembly - I don't think that you are going to be able to install the tube and hose with the water pump in place. It is a piece-of-cake without the water pump already installed. I hope that you can prove me...

They sure did!!They must have shipped them pretty fast.
Ordered on-line Monday. Received on Friday!
They look like they should last a looooooong time. Well made!! Nice and thick but very pliable.

Re: Tie Rod & Ball Joint boots / dust covers
Just in case anyone is interested!! I ordered the 9.13101, piece #13001 Tie Rod Boot. Fits perfectly when you tighten the nut. Sorta' squashes the boot down on base creating a nice tight seal. Piece of cake to install. Looks (and should work) MUCH better than the old rubber OEM boots.  ...
