Re: Tie Rod & Ball Joint boots / dust covers
Eliot,
Please share the correct part numbers with us when you determine what they are.
I want to order a "set" and would really appreciate the correct P/Ns.
Thanx,
Tom

"Rattle Can Satin Black" is the non-OCD's color of choice!!Did you use something like Eastwood's Cast Blast to even out the color?
Although it is pretty nice in it's "natural" state.

Re: Passenger Side Vent Window whistling
I hate to admit it, but I sorta' wondered what those were there for!!
Somehow it never occurred to me that their purpose was wind noise abatement. DUH!!
Good old FORD American ingenuity - if you can't fix it, make it a feature!!

Re: Recommended Fluids
Don't know if you guys have "Wally World" (Wal-Mart) down under. If you do; they have "Type F Automatic Transmission Fluid" in their store-brand line of fluids. Been using it for years in "Sweet Ride". It is the correct type fluid for tranny and power steering. GOOD LUC...

Re: Speedo not Working
Few things to be aware of when replacing the speedo cable: (1) Make sure that the inner cable is properly lubed with speedo cable lube; (I have found that this and kinks/bends are main cause of needle jumps) (2) Make sure that the cable is routed clear of the exhaust; (3) Make sure that the cable is...
