Is anyone else going?
I'm looking forward to this. It's not often we meet in the northeast.

Re: Tbird Appreciating Day
Mine stayed in it's cozy and dry resting place.
I, however, drove the Buick through 3" of new slush during a blizzard.

Welcome, Jon, I'm kind of partial to '65 myself.

This actually happened
I took a drive to Arby's this evening, in the 2005 with the top down. While I was returning to the car, a young fellow (definitely under 25) had just exited his older Dodge Ram. He commented, "Nice car! What kind is it?" I told him, "It's a Thunderbird." Then he asked, "Who ...

Re: 1966 thunderbird exhaust
I went to a local muffler shop with a photocopy of the exhaust system from the shop manual. He built it to look exactly like the copy in aluminized steel, resonators and mufflers. I forget the exact cost but it was less than $500 installed. This was on a '65 Special Landau in the mid nineties. I was...

With the back seat out, have you tried reaching in and pushing the flip lid up as the switch is engaged?

Bob, I'm not completely retired. I like to think of it as easing out. I'm working only 50 - 51 hours per week this tax season.

playing with the ipad
A jigsaw puzzle app that I play with to wind down in the evening featured a 1966 Thunderbird town hardtop in the daily puzzle yesterday.
Kind of fun to see that.

I had Hankook Optima's put on in July, 2016.
So far no problems. They look fine.

Re: Anyone experience this?
My first thought is a tire out of balance.
How old are your control arm bushings?
When my '65 experienced the same thing I determined it to be the road near my house.
It didn't do it when I got farther away from home.
Good luck.
