Re: Radial Inner Tubes - Factory Wire Wheels
I just had my tires/tubes mounted on my '63 wire wheels and used 3M tape purchased on Amazon. The shop used 1 & 1/2 rolls of the 1 1/2 inch wide tape.

Re: 1963 Temperature guage reading
My '63 gauge reads about the same ( on the "M"). I replaced both the instrument voltage regulator since it was failing and the temperature sender. I measured the coolant temperature at operating temperature which was around 185 degrees. I accept that my gauge reading is fine, falling withi...

Re: 61 convert #54 trim two tone door panel, dash color
Here's the text of an article I wrote long ago for The Scoop regarding Code 54/84 Interiors. Jim, As a new owner of a trim 84 '63, I wondered about the various beige like colors on the dash and upper door sections and that didn't quite match. They just didn't seem right for such a high end vehicle....

Source for 25 ohm @ 180 degree Coolant Temperature Sensor
Any help would be appreciated to find a source for a coolant temperature sensor with the correct specifications for my 63 Tbird. The old and recently purchased new sensor (Amazon purchase) read around 100 ohms at 180 degrees, which will not deflect my temperature gauge that much. Research online and...

Re: Tonneau cover repair
Finally got around to installing foam around the perimeter of the tonneau cover. The foam is a self sticking neoprene weather stripping product 1\8 inch thick and just under 2 inches wide, purchased on Amazon. It appears the original foam with was about 1 3\4 inch. The real test will be time. Also I...

Re: Cruise-o-matic part number differences
Hi,
Here's a link to how to read Ford parts from a Mustang webpage. The "S" in the first sequence of digits indicate the part is for a Thunderbird. Happy Tbirding. https://www.fomoco.org/how-to-read-fomoco-part-numbers/

Re: Tonneau cover repair
I've made some photos of the foam pads, foam surround evidence, inspection mark, and what appears to be a number of some sort. The foam pads on the corners measure 2" x 1". I hope Alan can use these and please let me know with any additonal photos are needed. Tonneau Foam Surround.jpg Tonn...

Re: Tonneau cover repair
I also have the corner pads as well as evidence of padding around the flat areas. My roadster is a late production (56099) unit so perhaps a running change. Ill get photos of the underside when I return home late next week. Thanks for all the info.

Re: Tonneau cover repair
Hi all, I recently purchased a 63 Sport Roadster and noticed that the underside on the tonneau cover has remnants of what I assume was some sort of foam padding that fit between the cover and the flat areas around the rear seats. Is this a factory installation? If so, any ideas on the thickness I sh...
