Re: Power Steering Lines

You can't just screw the 9/16" flair into the Ramas there is no seat for it. Just get a new brass fitting that has a 9/16" female flair on one end and match the ram end to your old 7/16" fitting.

Re: Then and Now in Business?

So I got one answer remotely replying to my question and still no one said for sure if they are still n business. Just everyone posting what they know about fuel pumps and bitching about the state of the hobby. Thanks.

Re: Condenser failed.....................again

Just find NOS condensers at swap meets or on eBay. The new ones are crap.

Re: Starting motor question

If you saw smoke coming from a battery post, you need to remove the cable and clean the battery post and the cable connection. That will cause the clicking symptom you had.

Then and Now in Business?

I wanted to get a fuel pump rebuild kit from Then and Now Automotive for my 56 Bird. Their phone goes to voicemail and the mail box is full, the email does not go through also. Are they still in business?

Re: Speedo replacements

I have read that the 56 Speedometer that only goes to 120 MPH is the same as the 140 speedometer in the 57 T-Birds. Just a different face, and it didn't read correctly.

56 to 57 Driveshaft Length

Since Ford went to the 9" rear end in 57, is the driveshaft longer than the driveshaft in the 56 T-Birds? A previous owner put a 9" rear end in my 56 Bird and looking at it it is about 1" too short, and not enough of the transmission yoke goes into the tail shaft of the transmission. ...

Stock Intake Carb and Distributor Value

Since my stock 56 T-Bird intake, carb, and distributor has been replaced with 57 stuff, I have all the original stuff in the shop. Any idea to what it is worth? Stock 1956 T-Bird intake manifold, carb, and tac drive distributor which has been converted with a Pertronics points replacement. Opinions ...

Re: What steps are necessary?

I just did mine, pan came off with no issues. Engine in the car. Make sure you put the "nails" in the side seals to the inside of the seal. If put on the outside it will leak for sure.
