Re: 65 T-Bird carb swap to Edelbrock AVS2 650CFM
Thank you Alan and jtschug. Alan you’re right, the coolant spacer is wedged… Which makes things complicated. The reason I wanted to swap carbs is because a good rebuild here in Poland would cost almost as much as a new Edelbrock. Yet I’m still worried if it would’ve been rebuilt the right way (throt...

65 T-Bird carb swap to Edelbrock AVS2 650CFM
I'm planning on swapping my original 4100 Autolite carb to either one of the following: Edelbrock AVS2 (leaning towards this one): https://www.edelbrock.com/avs2-650-cfm-carburetor-with-manual-choke-in-satin-non-egr-1905.html or Edelbrock 1405: https://www.edelbrock.com/performer-series-600-cfm-carb...

Re: Jamco dual master cylinder and booster conversion
Yep, I got stock valve covers. I'm more concerned about the brace and shock tower though. It should fit if they listed it as the one that fits in '65, and got confirmation from them that it will, but still... They used to sell boosters that look more like yours, much thinner.

Re: Jamco dual master cylinder and booster conversion
I got the brake booster + dual master cylinder kit from ABS Power Brake for my '65 T-Bird, and it looks the same as Yoda's one from Jamco. Looking at it I have concerns if the booster isn't too big and if the entire kit will clear with brace and the shock tower. The size of the booster seems to be t...
