Unless you have aftermarket rocker arms, the threads are the same. Only the adjuster threads are different. Make sure that the diameter of the ball on the replacement adjusters is correct.

John sells new rocker assemblies as well. You could also contact Rocker Arms Unlimited (rocker arms.com) in Redding, CA. Tim McMaster (yblockguy.com) in Hanford, CA also reconditions rocker assemblies and pressurizes them (watch his video). He's another guy that you'll want to contact by phone. Go t...

Try John Mummert (ford-y-block.com). You'll have better luck contacting him by calling.

Machinehand is correct. Although the early type requires a bit more effort and dexterity, they are preferable.

Clear coat or cast iron paint would look more original, if that's what you're after.

Re: 56 Speedometer lubrication

Don't these old cars have enough rattles without deliberately removing fasteners? Do these things need to be oiled so frequently that permanently removing fasteners is justified?

If your car is equipped with a Fordomatic that works as designed, the tach isn't necessary, but I like everything with which my car was equipped to work well.

Re: 55 Steering wheel restoration

You might consider using Seymour PBE Flexible Primer. Although I've only used it on cast iron, it can be used on hard plastic. I think it will work as well as any to fill in cracks, covers well, and dries quickly.

Eckler's part # EK-66-27860-1 ($12.99). Although advertised for 55/56, Eckler's site confirms that it also fits 57. Larry's has the same needle (Part # B17361A for $12.78).
